Do it for nurturing the development of children in their own home

Working as a childminder

Becoming a childminder is not just a career – it’s a commitment to nurturing the growth and development of children in the comfort of a home environment. It’s about creating a safe and stimulating space where laughter fills the air, and learning happens in the most natural way. Be your own boss, work from home and give the children you care for an exciting and safe start to life as you help them thrive. With opportunities to work in a setting, or start your own, their are opportunities to suit everyone.

Currently, there are also grants of £600 or £1,200 to help you set up, depending on whether you register with Ofsted or a childminder agency.

Why childminding?

  • Personal Touch: Offer a unique, personalised approach to childcare
  • Flexibility: Set your schedule and work in a way that fits your life
  • Lifelong Bonds: Build lasting relationships with children and their families
  • Rewarding Experience: Witness the direct impact of your care on children’s progress

A Childminder is somebody who looks after, nurtures, and provides a home from home care for all the children that come into our setting.
