In the Transport Planning and Road Safety Team, we are divided into two main functions; developing transportation strategies and working with partners to ensure our roads are as safe as possible.
We provide leadership and expert advice on transport planning to fulfil road safety duties. This advice and leadership shapes the way a new development is built to account for the highway safety and design – ensuring the safety and protecting the lives of Devon residents.
No two days are ever the same and you could find yourself carrying out a range of tasks including; coordinating transport data collection, providing strategic policy advice for new developments, securing funding and producing road safety strategies.
