Do it for delivering adult and community learning in Devon
Our aim is to increase the economic welfare, social mobility, literacy and numeracy, and health and wellbeing of adults in Devon via adult and community learning courses and workshops.
Learn Devon delivers adult and community learning on behalf of Devon County Council.
We run hundreds of courses for adults all across Devon from our centres and outreach venues alongside delivering courses online. Our aim is to increase the economic welfare, social mobility, literacy and numeracy, and health and wellbeing of adults in Devon via adult and tailored learning courses and workshops.
We have a wide curriculum which includes English and Maths courses (including qualifications such as GCSEs and Functional Skills), Digital Skills & IT, Skills & Development, Family Learning, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and community engagement courses. Our learners are at the heart of everything we do and being an inclusive adult learning service is of upmost priority to us. We work with adults of all ages and from all walks of life, helping them explore their full potential, grow their skills, and ultimately improve their lives.
Our team is diverse, made up of a range of teams such as tutors, learning support, curriculum, customer service and operations. We work together to deliver a service we can all be proud of. Our teams are based in our centres in Exmouth, Tavistock, Newton Abbot and Bideford. Most of us also get to work from home, benefiting from the Devon County Council’s flexible working policy. Roles within our teams include Customer Support Officer, Finance Officer, Learning Adviser, Curriculum Officer, Tutor, Senior Tutor, Higher-level Learning Support Assistant and more.
