It has increased my confidence, strengthened my professional judgement, and helped me apply learning directly to my role, improving both my effectiveness and self-awareness at work.
What skills have you developed so far?
I’ve developed stronger communication, organisation and analytical skills, alongside improved policy understanding, stakeholder engagement and reflective practice.
What support do you receive from your employer and training provider?
I receive regular line management support, mentoring, protected learning time, and constructive feedback, alongside structured teaching, guidance and assessment support from my University.
Would you recommend an apprenticeship to others? Why?
Yes. It’s a practical way to gain a recognised qualification while developing real-world skills and progressing professionally within your role.

The apprenticeship has been challenging but rewarding, and it has supported my development in a meaningful and sustainable way.
