How has the apprenticeship helped you grow personally and professionally?
The course has been incredibly stimulating allowing me to look at situations in work through a fresh lens, connecting what I see and do on the ground to underpinning theory and practice. I see benefits in being able to be more focused when needed and make decisions more quickly and clearly.
What skills have you developed so far?
The course has supported me to develop skills in academic writing, critical analysis and reflective thinking, organisation, leadership and communication skills.
What support do you receive from your employer and training provider?
I have felt fully supported by the Apprenticeship team to set up everything up so I could start the course and by my line manager who has allowed me to take the study hours I need each week during work time.
Would you recommend an apprenticeship to others? Why?
I would definitely recommend an apprenticeship to others, to me it is a win win situation for both my learning and the organisation. I am motivated and energised by the course and want to further my career with DCC.
