I have been working in a children’s home for 4 years, I worked in pre- schools my whole working life, then decided to try something different.
Completely new to respite care and supporting with learning and physical disabilities.
To start with it was a challenge getting to know the children and their induvial needs but the support from staff was great and started to really enjoy going to work.
Some days are harder than others but are also very rewarding seeing the children happy in the home.
