Recycling wrapping paper?

Wrapping paper is a difficult material to recycle as it contains thin fibres, is often dyed, laminated and glittery or has tape attached. For this reason, not all areas will be able to accept it for recycling this year.

East Devon

Wrapping Paper with no glitter or foil can go in the green recycling box or bin.

Exeter

Brown paper will be accepted. Normal Wrapping paper cannot be recycled in your recycling collection. Please place wrapping paper in your general waste container.

Teignbridge

Wrapping Paper and brown paper with no glitter or foil can be recycled from home using your green recycling box.

Mid Devon

Wrapping Paper and brown paper with no glitter or foil can go in the black recycling box or bag.

South Hams

Normal wrapping paper will not be accepted. Brown Wrapping paper can go in the Blue Sack. 

West Devon

Wrapping paper and brown paper cannot be recycled in your recycling collection. Please place wrapping paper in your general waste container.

Torridge

Brown paper can be recycled in your Brown bag. Regular wrapping paper cannot be recycled in your recycling collection and must go in general waste.

Plymouth

Wrapping paper that is free from glitter/foil and brown paper can go in the green recycling bin.

Torbay

Wrapping paper that is free from glitter and foil can go in Recycling Box 1 with paper. Brown paper can be recycled in Box 2 with Cardboard. 

North Devon

Brown wrapping paper can be recycled in your brown bag. Normal wrapping paper cannot be recycled & goes in the general waste container.
