DEVON COUNTY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order.

The order came into force on Tuesday 13 January 2026 and would have expired on Sunday 12 July 2026.

By direction of the Secretary of State in exercise of his powers under Section 15(5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the order shall continue in force until 17 July 2027 or until works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

No vehicles, persons and/or horse riders shall proceed on the affected highway except for access to land or premises on or adjacent to that length of path.

There is no alternative route.

The temporary closure is necessary in the interest of public safety following a landslide and partial collapse of the path.
