DEVON COUNTY COUNCIL
(FOOTPATH NO. 13, NEWTON AND NOSS)
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order.
The order came into force on Friday 19 September 2025 and would have expired on Wednesday 18 March 2026. By direction of the Secretary of State in exercise of his powers under Section 15(5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the order shall continue in force until Thursday 19 March 2027, or until completion of the works, whichever is the sooner.
No persons shall proceed on the section of the affected path except for access to land or premises on or adjacent to that length of path.
Public rights of way affected:
Footpath No. 13, Newton and Noss from Yealm Rd to Doctors Steps.

There is an alternative route using Yealm Road and Riverside Road West. The closure is necessary in the interest of public safety following a landslide and partial collapse of the path. Further information may be obtained by contacting Public Rights of Way on 0345 155 1004.
