Our 6 project programmes are in full swing with the project to date delivering;

  • Weekly sessions have been delivered by Kingscare including Dementia group walks, Wellbeing walks, Anxiety café, HOPE courses and wellbeing shed sessions.
  • Home-Start Teignbridge run weekly sessions supporting families to spend time together in green spaces.
  • The Veteran Tree Nursery project is in full swing with Bearnes Primary school (at the Courtenay Centre) , Stover School and Heathfield community.
  • 240 primary aged children have taken part in the tree nursery project over 2 years. Volunteers help with the tree project.
  • The Restoring Stover team are working with Heathfield councillors to create stronger links with Heathfield community, through activities and green spaces projects.
    21 people walked from Heathfield with our team and took part in Spring themed activities and had a picnic.
  • Arts company ‘Red Herring Productions’ have run an Arts project with St Catherines School pupils over 4 months , culminating in an ensemble performance at Stover in July.
  • Stover Shed volunteers have been busy creating furniture for our forest school sites and making items for the Roundhouse.
  • Newton Abbot Museum volunteers have been carrying out research about the history of Stover Historic Parkland, for new interpretation.
    Newton Abbot Museum have been running Stover inspired family days.
  • A roundhouse has been built at Stover for groups and schools to use.
  • 9 young people (aged 16 – 25) are training as tomorrows generation of Dragonfly and Damselfly surveyors.
  • Newton Abbot Photography Club have been capturing all the stages of work to date, in preparation for an exhibition next summer
  • School holiday sessions for EYCN & the Y-Project have been delivered
  • First cycling for improvers programme has been completed
  • Three trainee rangers have been recruited and we are now recruiting for one more.
