Our events have limited places which must be booked in advance.
It is essential that children booked onto a Children’s Activity have a responsible adult present throughout, with a maximum of 4 per adult.

Follow the relevant link to book via Eventbrite. Please note that Eventbrite places a small non-refundable booking charge on top of our price. We are not able to offer refunds on our events unless we cancel, so please be sure that you would like to attend before booking.

There is a car parking charge of £2 for 2 hours and £4 for all day (payable via cash/card/RingGo). Charges apply from dawn until dusk.

APRIL |
Wednesday 9th April: 10.30am –12.30pm — Children’s Activity – Toddler Forest Fun Join us for some fun in the forest. Feel free to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy around the campfire at the end of the session. £4 per toddler. For ages 2 – 5 years old. Click here to book via Eventbrite Tuesday 15th April & Wednesday 16th April: 2 hour slots across the days — Stover Easter Trail Spring has sprung at Stover Country Park, join us at the park to follow a self guided trail and hunt for our painted wooden eggs! Once successful head back to the Stover Centre to gain your prize. Booking is essential. Please book one of our 2 hour time slots and arrive within this time period. You only need to book a ticket for members of your party that would like to receive a prize. Please be aware that part of the carpark will be allocated for this event and those paying to participate will get 2 hours reserved parking (a ticket for parking will still need to be purchased). This event is part of the Restoring Stover Park Project and funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund. £2.50 per trail. Click here to book the Stover Easter Trail Tuesday 15th April: 10.30am – 1.30pm — Children’s Activity – Fire lighting and Campfire Cooking Learn how to light a fire and have a go at cooking your own lunch. £7 per person – includes baked potato, beans and marshmallows. Suitable for children aged 7 and over. Click here to book via Eventbrite Wednesday 30th April: 2pm – 4pm — Guided Walk – Spring Flora & Wild Food Discover the folklore and uses, both past and present, of Stover’s rich variety of flora. Following the walk, we will sample some wild food and teas. £4 per person. |

Saturday 4th May: 7am – 9am — Guided Walk – Early Morning Beginner’s Bird Walk Come along for an early morning stroll around the Park listening to, and learning about, the birdsong that is at its peak at this time of year. £4 per person, including coffee, tea and biscuits on your return. Click here to book via Eventbrite Wednesday 28th May: 8.30pm – 10.30pm — Guided Walk – Stover at Dusk Take a walk at twilight and discover the wildlife that comes out at night such as bats, nightjar and glow-worms. Please bring your own torch. £3.50 per person. JUNE |
Wednesday 4th June: 10am – 12.30pm — Guided Walk – River Ramble A beautiful 4-mile stroll along a section of the Templer Way to the River Teign encompassing the wildlife and history of the Stover Estate. Bring a packed lunch for a picnic by the river. £3.50 per person. Click here to book via Eventbrite Saturday 21st June: 6.30pm – 9.30pm — Guided Walk – Denbury Hillfort Meet on Denbury Green (in front of the Union Inn). Walk Torbryan’s ancient valley path ending at Denbury Hillfort – the resting place of the Celtic King Geraint, according to local legend – where you can soak up the mystical atmosphere and take in the spectacular views at the solstice sunset. £4.50 per person. |
Volunteers’ DaysWhy not join our growing army of conservation volunteers on the last Sunday of every month between September and April. Tasks are varied and all tools are provided. No special skills are needed – just bring along lunch and old clothes. See our volunteering page for more details. |
