Events Autumn/Winter 2022/23

Our events have limited places which must be booked in advance.

It is essential that children booked onto a Children’s Activity have a responsible adult present throughout, with a maximum of 4 per adult.

There is a car parking charge of £1.70 for 2 hours and £3.50 for all day (cash only). Charges apply from dawn until dusk.

November

Sunday 27th : 10am – 4pm

Volunteers Day – Marshland Management

Help remove alder and willow scrub from the marsh to benefit Stover’s summer dragonfly species and overwintering snipe. Wear wellies !

December

Tuesday 13th : 7 – 8.30pm

Christmas Carols at Stover. This event is now fully booked, keep an eye on Eventbrite for cancellations.

Bring a candle, join in the festivities and give your vocal chords an airing. Join the Newton Abbot Salvation Army Band and sing carols around the bonfire in the picnic area. A hot mulled drink and mince pies are provided.

Booking essential – tickets must be purchased in advance via Eventbrite.

£4 per person, under 3’s free.

Tuesday 20th – Thursday 22nd. Various timeslots available.

Children’s Trail: The Twelve Gnomes of Christmas

Twelve gnomes are hiding around Stover Country Park. Grab a map and follow the trail to find the gnomes and win a prize!

Booking essential – tickets must be purchased in advance via Eventbrite by following this link. 

£3.50 per child plus Eventbrite Fees.

Volunteers day

Why not join our growing army of conservation volunteers on the last Sunday of every month between September and April. Tasks are varied and all tools are provided. No special skills are needed – just bring along lunch and old clothes.
