Events 2026

Our events have limited places which must be booked in advance.

It is essential that children booked onto a Children’s Activity have a responsible adult present throughout, with a maximum of four per adult.

Follow the relevant link to book via Eventbrite. Please note that Eventbrite places a small non-refundable booking charge on top of our price. We are not able to offer refunds on our events unless we cancel, so please be sure that you would like to attend before booking.

There is a car parking charge of £2.20 for two hours and £4.40 for all day (payable via cash, card or RingGo). Charges apply from dawn until dusk.

June

Wednesday 24 June: 6.30pm – 9.30pm – Guided Walk – Denbury Hillfort

Walk Torbryan’s ancient valley path ending at Denbury Hillfort – the resting place of the Celtic King Geraint, according to local legend – where you can soak up the mystical atmosphere and take in the spectacular views on Midsummer Day.

Thursday 2 July: 10.30am – 12.30pm – Guided Walk – Reedbed Systems Tour

Join us on a guided walk around the reedbed systems to find out how and why they were developed and learn about the wildlife the area supports.

Sunday 12 July: 10am – 1pm and 1.30pm – 4.30pm – British Dragonfly Society – Hotspot Event

Join one of the UK’s leading experts for a guided walk around the park.

Wednesday 22 July: 10.30am – 12.30pm – Guided Walk – Stover Wildlife

Join us for a ranger led walk to enjoy the varied habitats and wildlife within the Park.

Thursday 30 July: 10.30am – 12pm – Children’s Activity – Minibeast hunt and woodland games

Hunt for minibeasts and enjoy some games and activities in Stover’s woodland.

August

Saturday 1 August: 10am – 11am and 2pm – 3pm – Children’s Activity – The Story Store presents ‘Love Bugs’

With lively puppets, dazzling scenery, and toe-tapping tunes, Love Bugs will have you seeing bugs in a whole new light. Children get to jump in on the fun with crafting activities where they can make their own puppets that they will use to be part of the show.

Thursday 6 August and Tuesday 18 August: 10.30am – 12pm – Children’s Activity – Toddler Forest Fun

Join us for some fun in the forest. Feel free to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy around the campfire at the end of the session.

Tuesday 11 August: 2pm – 4pm – Guided Walk – Summer Wildflowers

A gentle stroll around the Park looking at the summer wildflowers, folklore and uses.

Wednesday 12 August: 1pm – 2.30pm – Children’s Activity – Woodland Crafts

Have a go at making crafts out of natural materials to take home.

Wednesday 19 and Thursday 20 August: Children’s Activity – Bear Hunt Trail

Collect a map and follow this self – led trail around the park to find the hidden bears.

£3.50 per child to include a small prize at the end of the trail. Various time slots available on both dates. Click here to book.

Tuesday 25 August: 11am – 1pm or 2pm – 4pm – Naturemake Summer Fairyhouse/Camp Workshop

Join Naturemake for a fun enchanting 2 hour crafting workshop. Using beautiful natural materials such as dried flowers, seed pods and shells from near and far, design and create your own unique magical miniature fairy houses and miniature summer camps.

£22 per maker, or book 2 or more makers for £20 each. For ages 4 yrs – adults.

Saturday 26 September: 1pm – 3.30pm – Autumn Foraging Walk and Fire Cider Workshop
