Help us improve our new public health website

We’ve recently launched our new public health website in public beta.

This means the website is live and available for everyone to use, but we are still testing and improving it. We are inviting residents, professionals and partners to explore the site and tell us about their experience.

Your feedback will help us make sure the website is useful, easy to use and meets people’s needs.

What ‘public beta’ means

A public beta is an early version of a website that has been launched for public use while it is still being reviewed and improved.

The website is safe to use and the information on it has been checked, but some parts may continue to change as we learn more about how people use it.

Launching in public beta allows us to test the site in real-life situations and make improvements based on direct feedback from users.

Why we are launching the website this way

We want to build a website that works well for the people who use it.

Launching in public beta helps us to:

  • understand how people use the website in practice
  • identify anything that is unclear or hard to find
  • spot areas where content or navigation can be improved
  • make sure the website is accessible and user-friendly
  • prioritise changes based on real user needs

Rather than waiting until every detail is finalised, public beta lets us improve the website step by step, using evidence from the people who matter most – our users.

Why your feedback matters

We are asking for feedback so we can continue to improve the website after launch.

We want to know:

  • whether you could find the information you needed
  • if the content was clear and easy to understand
  • if the website was easy to navigate
  • whether anything was missing
  • if you experienced any problems or barriers

Feedback from users will help us decide what to improve next.

How feedback will be used

We will review feedback regularly and use it to shape the next versions of the website.

This means your comments may lead to changes such as:

  • improving page layouts
  • rewriting content in clearer language
  • adding information people need
  • making navigation simpler
  • fixing technical issues
  • improving accessibility

The website will continue to develop over time, and feedback will play an important part in those improvements.
