DEVON COUNTY COUNCIL

(FOOTPATH NO. 6, BISHOP’S NYMPTON &

FOOTPATH NO. 10, NORTH MOLTON)

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council has made the above titled order.

The order came into force on Thursday 4 December 2025 and would have expired on Wednesday 3 June 2026.

By direction of the Secretary of State in exercise of his powers under Section 15(5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the order shall continue in force until 4 December 2026 or until works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

No persons shall proceed on the section of the affected paths except for access to land or premises on or adjacent to those lengths of path. The order will continue in force for a period not exceeding six months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.
Public rights of way affected:

BISHOPS NYMPTON FOOTPATH No. 6, and NORTH MOLTON FOOTPATH No. 10, from Holdridge Wood to Limeslake wood.

There is no alternative route.

The temporary closure is necessary in the interest of public safety.
