The Department for Education are inviting early years managers to give feedback on a new service to check early years qualifications when hiring staff.

New Ofsted publications include: ‘Best start in life part 3: the 4 specific areas of learning’ and ‘Strong Foundations in the first year of school’.

It was fantastic to welcome over 200 passionate early years practitioners, educators and advocates from across our diverse sector in Devon to Sandy Park on Thursday 3rd October for the annual Early Years Conference.

The DfE’s ‘Do something BIG’ campaign is seeking inspiring and standout real-life stories from early years professionals working in nurseries, pre-schools, before and after school clubs, or as childminders.

Together with The Careers & Enterprise Company and their Careers Hub network, early years and childcare providers can make the most of promoting these sectors directly to schools and colleges across England.

The new Early Adopter Breakfast Club scheme will build on the national wraparound childcare programme and national school breakfast programme.
