Opportunity to provide all year round childcare for 0-4 year olds

Following the closure of Lustleigh Orchard Preschool and Playgroup at the end of May 2026, there is now an increased need for early‑years places in the area.

Our Early Years Locality Team is actively exploring potential venues for a new nursery and supporting families who have told us they are currently unable to find childcare.

Lustleigh sits between Moretonhampstead and Bovey Tracey and serves surrounding communities including North Bovey and Manaton. Identifying suitable premises can be challenging, particularly as the village hall previously used by the preschool may no longer be an option.
