New nursery opportunities in former children’s centre buildings – Honiton, Sidmouth, Hatherleigh and Tavistock
Early Years providers are invited to apply for new opportunities to deliver childcare within former children’s centre buildings in Honiton, Sidmouth and Hatherleigh. These sites have been identified as areas where there is a need for additional all‑year childcare places for 0–4‑year‑olds, operating 8am–6pm.
What is available?
- Former children’s centre buildings suitable to accommodate Early Years provision
- Opportunities to establish, or expand high‑quality nursery places
- Flexibility to apply for one or multiple locations
Tavistock – restricted opportunity
A separate opportunity is available in Tavistock, open only to existing local providers. Although no immediate increase in childcare places is required, this site offers:
- Improved premises for current provision
- Potential for future expansion as demand increases as a result of housing developments.

There will be a shortlisting process and successful applicants will be invited to attend an interview on 14th July.
