HAF funding for school transition projects this summer holiday

The Holiday, Activities & Food Programme (HAF) has extended its offer to support schools by providing funding for Benefit Related Free School Meal (FSM) children to take part in any transition programmes schools have planned for this summer holidays.

There is a short FORMS application process with a deadline of Friday 12th July to ensure enough time to issue funding agreements and payments before the end of term.

The funding can provide support for FSM children to access activities and trips during the summer holidays for up to 5 days and must include a nutritious meal, the funding award is up to £35 per child per day. It can support a child’s transition from Early Years to Primary or Primary to Secondary.
