Applications open to become a Holiday, Activity and Food Programme (HAF) provider
The Department for Education (DfE) funded Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme aims to support children to eat more healthily, be more active over the school holidays and have a greater knowledge of health and nutrition as well as be more engaged with school and other local services.
The funding round is now open for Summer and Winter 2024. Closing date is Wednesday 12 June at 12pm.

We are looking for provision for the older age range with exciting activities to engage this age range, it can be more flexible and can operate evenings or weekends, trips out are popular for this age range.
If you are running any transition programmes in the school holidays this may be something we could support.
Primary age range we will be looking to add places in areas of disadvantage across Devon we are not looking to duplicate provision. The maximum number of places per scheme we will fund is 16.

We will be looking to prioritise provision that is Ofsted registered.
Summer is 16 days and Winter is 4 days – you don’t have to provide all of the days we will consider applications from providers who are offering less.
Become a HAF provider – how to apply
Please complete the HAF application form by Wednesday 12 June at 12pm.
Please answer all the questions on the application form and submit. Results will be scored and a decision will be made 2 weeks after the closing date.
Please make sure you are familiar with the process of becoming a HAF provider and that you meet all the requirements: Information for providers – Education and Families (devon.gov.uk). If you are unable to meet the HAF Standards Framework then you will be unable to apply.
