This strategy will be reviewed annually and shared with all Children’s Services, including our commissioned services and our external partners who work with children, young people and families
The annual report for Participation will detail the number of young people involved in the Participation groups, the key areas of focus and the impact for the previous year (April-March) and will be released every June. Top case studies from this will be added as appendices to this strategy to demonstrate good practice and impact.
The action tracker will be updated each quarter to monitor progress on the key areas of focus raised by young people. This will be used to communicate ‘You Said We Did’ on a quarterly basis and all teams will be expected to contribute regularly.
On an individual basis, about 50 young people’s records will be audited monthly in order to establish the quality of youth voice across all areas of the work as well as the use of child-friendly language.
We will produce a quarterly report on our Learning from the formal complaints process.
Reports will be produced quarterly from Mind of My Own and the Single Feedback form and shared across Children’s Services in order to demonstrate good examples of restorative practice, opportunities provided for individual young people and families to be heard, and key areas for learning and improvement.
Early Help Services conduct regular family and young people feedback calls in order to identify key themes for service improvement
