Devon Public Health Nursing is working in partnership with Libraries Unlimited to provide self-weigh facilities in many libraries across Devon.
The libraries and other selected locations working within this partnership have been equipped with scales provided by the Devon Public Health Nursing Team. These scales are calibrated every six months – this ensures the scales remain accurate and are safe to weigh your baby on.
Please note this is a parent-led facility and library staff are not involved in weighing babies or children. Each of our self-weigh stations is equipped with guidance on how to use the scales safely together with when and how to access further support.
No appointments are necessary to access the self-weigh facilities – parents can use these whenever they are open.
