The decision has been taken on the basis of supplier achieving a satisfactory overall score for a best value tender (optimum combination of whole-life costs and quality) in line with the European Procurement Directives award procedure of Most Economically Advantageous Tender (MEAT).
A competitive process was undertaken during which three suppliers were invited to submit bids as part of the formal quotation process. A single bid was received, which was formally evaluated and a decision to accept a single quotation was taken in accordance with the procedures set out in the Authority’s Procedure for Tenders and Contracts.
