Trade union representatives

Please can you provide all information for the financial year 2021-2022, and from the start of financial year 2022 to 31 December 2022, for the following:

  1. The total number (absolute number and full time equivalent) of local authority employees who are trade union representatives.

We do not keep a central record of our Trade Union Representatives, producing a list would take a significant amount of time in collating responses from large numbers of senior staff across our services and in our schools. This would take in excess of18 hours and therefore, pursuant to section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act 200 we are not obliged to provide this information.

  1. The total number (absolute number and full time equivalent) of trade union representatives who spent at least 50 per cent of their time on union duties.
