I would like to request the following information under the Freedom of Information Act:

* The total number of potholes or road defects reported, broken down by month, for the years 2021 and 2022
* The total number of potholes or road defects repaired, broken down by month, for the years 2021 and 2022

2021 – £238,813

2022 – £84,777

* The total number of compensation claims received in 2021 and 2022 which were not upheld.

2021 – 814 claims for pothole damage to vehicles were received and 631 of those were defended
2022 – 637 claims for pothole damage to vehicles were received and 509 of those were defended.

* If possible, please could you also share the proposed budget for highways fixes for the financial year 2023/24
