Our web content is developed in-house, the directory aspect is outsourced.

The value of the directory element, delivered externally, is £35,475. Currently renews annually 1st January. Review underway.

 Yes.  Direct payments are one of the methods through which families are supported to access short break provision in Devon. We have a small grant scheme which organisations can apply for to enhance their community offer of short breaks for families

11. Do parents/carers book Short Breaks provision via the council?

Short break support is coordinated by the council, and the booking arrangements will depend on the support plan agreed with the family. Where short break provision is provided directly by local authority services (eg our residential children’s home short break provision) this will be booked via the council.  Where the local authority is commissioning an agency to provide short breaks, the booking will be made via the council.  Where a family is utilising a direct payments to arrange short breaks, parents/carers will generally book directly with the short breaks provider.
