As part of our Stop the Clock: Start the Conversation events, informal TEA and jam sessions were held on 28 March.
It was great to see so many colleagues chatting about some of the themes that have begun to emerge from conversations, and sharing more about what leadership means to us all.
- There was the opportunity to discuss leadership in the context of empowerment, ambition and risk directly with Phil Norrey, Chief Executive.
- Hosted by Jan Shadbolt, County Solicitor, a TED style event took place where we heard from inspirational leaders, followed by questions from the floor.
- Ideas for developing the leader in us all, including practical tools to make Charter principles ‘real’ were explored with John Smith, Head of Organisational Development, and Michael Beechener from Workforce Development.
The feedback from these sessions is now available here and this will be vital in continuing to help shape our approach to leadership and change at Devon County Council.
If you joined in the conversations, don’t forget to tweet about it too – #dccTEA.
