In Devon, you can access advice and services for your sexual health in a variety of ways, depending on your needs. This includes services for: 

  • contraception and condoms 
  • relationship support  
  • sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing and treatment  
  • HIV testing and support, PrEP, and PEP 
  • emergency contraception  
  • abortion 

Online services

You can also order STI testing for home use, and find information about how to look after your sexual health. 

GP practices  

Many GP practices can support you with a range of contraception services, including contraceptive coils (also known as IUD or IUS) and the implant. If you are under 25 you can also access free chlamydia screening.

Pharmacies 

Pharmacies can offer free emergency contraception (morning after pill), and many also offer STI testing. To find a local pharmacy near you, search for a service on the Devon Sexual Health website

Support for people affected by HIV 

The Devon Sexual Health Service in Torquay and Exeter provide specialist HIV care, with several other locations across Devon offering HIV testing. You can find the full range of local services on the Devon Sexual Health website

The Eddystone Trust is an independent organisation providing information and support for anyone affected by HIV across the South West. 

Support for young people 

Many secondary schools and colleges are collection points for free condoms provided via the Doink scheme.
