Wraparound school aged childcare funding and fully funded online training ‘The Essential 3 series – marketing, team and finance’

You could be entitled to apply for funding if you are looking to create or expand wraparound childcare. Apply now to have funding in place for a September start and don’t miss out!

There are two types of funding that can be applied for as follows:

Creating a new provision such as a before and after school club

We are able to fund a provider to develop new provision i.e., a breakfast and/or afterschool club, so long as it is delivered Monday to Friday and between the hours of 8am to at least 5.30pm. Whilst you may not fill all places initially, over time it is envisaged that the number of children attending will increase as more parents and carers become aware of the provision. The funding allocated to your provision will take away the financial risk of setting up the childcare.

Expansion of places

If you already offer a before and /or afterschool club that runs between 8am and 5.30pm and find you have a waiting list, funding is available to create additional places. We are able to fund each additional place at £100 per breakfast club and £100 per after school club place (maximum £200 per full place created).

If you think you may be eligible, or would like to know, more please contact Tania Skinner for an informal, no obligation chat: educate.earlyyearswraparound-mailbox@devon.gov.uk
