View the latest training for early years and childcare practitioners in Devon.

Join us for our annual EYFS conference to share, discuss and update practice, knowledge and skills in support of early years children. This year we will explore how we can give all our children, including those with SEND, and EAL, the speech and language skills, and the confidence they need, to speak and be heard.

The Ethnically Diverse Communities Directory of Services for Devon, Plymouth, and Torbay – Migration and resettlement contains details of the many organisations and agencies, from all sectors, that offer support services for people from Black, Asian and Ethnically Diverse communities in Devon.

Please complete the parents childcare survey if you are a parent of a child or young person. Please also share it with the families that you work with, your friends and your family and on your website, social media platforms and newsletters. The closing date is Wednesday 31st July 2024. With the summer holidays fast approaching, we’re pleased to announce that bookings are now open for our action-packed Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme! 

The summer amendment task is now available with a deadline for completion of 23.59 on Sunday 1st September 2024. Please can we ask that you refer to the updates page on our website for guidance on how to complete the amendment task, as well as other useful information.

Schools and private, voluntary and independent sector providers (including childminders and HAF providers) are invited to one of two briefing sessions, which will enable you to learn more about the wraparound programme here in Devon. Sessions are running on 10th July at 4pm and 15th July at 12pm.

This week we have funding information from ‘Co-op Local Community Fund’ – apply by 7 July 2024.

The wraparound funding process has now been finalised and Devon is welcoming applications from schools and providers to start provision for September 2024.
