What will we hear about?
- Key findings and recommendations from the quality assurance thematic review
- Recognition and response to child neglect including; naming child neglect, tools and strategies and the launch of revised Devon SCP multi-agency child neglect strategy & toolkit
- Multi-agency collaboration and information sharing including strengthening barriers to multi-agency collaboration, professional curiosity, thinking the unthinkable, information sharing and escalation/case disagreement
- Special Guest Jane Wiffin with headline findings from the child neglect thematic CSPR (Child Safeguarding Practice Review)
- Addressing and overcoming barriers to effective intervention including relational approaches, trauma informed practice, shame/blame, home visiting, ‘start again syndrome’, impact chronologies/multi-agency chronologies

- Launch of Neglect Strategy and Toolkit
- Enhanced understanding of child neglect and its indicators
- Improved consistency in recognising and responding to child neglect

This event is aimed at multi-agency front-line practitioners and team managers who work with children, adults with children and/or families.
