This is generally small grants for registered charities in the UK, Israel and the United States of America.

The Eric and Jean Beecham Charitable Trust is a discretionary grant-making Trust that makes donations to a variety of registered charities throughout the United Kingdom, Israel and the United States of America.

During the year ending 31 December 2019 the Trust awarded 24 grants totalling £44,840. The largest award was for £13,200 to Jewish Care. The average grant was for £1,868.

National Farmers Union (NFU) Mutual Community Giving Fund

The National Farmers Union (NFU) is currently inviting applications from charities, community groups and schools across the UK in areas where the NFU has offices. Priority will be given to requests that are supported by NFU Mutual staff members or one of the NFU Mutual local branch offices and applicants that have not previously received a NFU grant.

Grants should be used for specific project costs, such as purchasing an item of equipment or furniture, or something that will help people over a long period of time.

Grants up to £1,000 with no matched funding requirement are available for:

  • Connecting the community; reducing social isolation, providing opportunities, and encouraging resilience
  • Providing care and support to vulnerable members of the community
  • Relieving poverty; improving the health and wellbeing of communities
  • Advancing the education and experiences for young people.

The next application deadlines are:

  • Wednesday  30 September for a decision by 31 October 2020
  • Tuesday 1 December for a decision by 24 December 2020.
