The Thompson Family Charitable Trust

Grants from £1,000 to £1 million available to registered charities in England and Wales for a diverse range of charitable purposes. The Trust supports a wide range of charitable causes at national, regional and local level. Awards can range from relatively small amounts (i.e. £1,000 to Newmarket Day Centre in 2018/19) to substantial awards (for example, £1 million to Wycombe Abbey School).

The Trust does not maintain a website, so applications may be made initially in writing to the Trust:

The Susanna Peake Charitable Trust

Generally small grants averaging £3,000 or a range of charitable causes in England and Wales.

The Susanna Peake Charitable Trust provides grants to charitable organisations in England and Wales operating in the following fields:

  • Education and Children (grants totalling £35,000 were awarded against this category in 2018/19)
  • Local charitable organisations (£14,500)
  • Medical and Hospices (£25,000)
  • Elderly and disabled (£39,500)
  • International causes (£15,000)
  • General (£23,500)
  • Animals and the environment (£10,000)
  • The Armed Forces (£3,000)

Some charities are supported on a regular basis, otherwise the two members of the Trust meet regularly to review requests for funding. Only successful applicants are notified. Please note: the Trust does not maintain a website. Awards ranged from £1,000 to £20,000. The average award was £3,000.
