EYFS profile assessment workshops for teachers completing the EYFS profile

As part of Best Start in Life, all reception teachers are encouraged by the Department for Education (DfE) to attend an EYFS Profile Assessment workshop (formerly known as EYFSP moderation).

Led by EYFSP Partners and funded by the DfE, the workshops will build a shared understanding of the ELGs, strengthen clarity and consistency, and confident use of the best-fit model of the statutory EYFSP handbook.

Attendance is particularly important for schools with higher levels of disadvantage or gaps in data. In addition, workshops will consider the importance of conversations with Year 1 teachers, so Year 1 colleagues are also warmly invited to attend alongside reception teachers where possible.

Teachers should attend one session per term only.
