Early years and childcare national recruitment campaign launches 2nd February 2024 – ACTION REQUIRED

The Department for Education (DfE) campaign will promote early years and childcare careers by highlighting the huge difference early years professionals make to young children and how rewarding working in the sector can be. It will be broadcast across TV, cinema, social media, online, radio, out of home advertising to boost interest in early years and childcare and support recruitment of talented staff.

The campaign will have its own dedicated website which will direct potential applicants to use DWP (Department for Work and Pensions) Find a job (dwp.gov.uk) vacancy platform to search for early years, childcare and wraparound roles in their area. The service is free.

The DfE are asking providers to list any current or upcoming roles in their setting on the Find a Job as soon as possible.

Instructions are available to help you create an employer account and post your vacancies.

You should use the term ‘early years ‘ in the title of the job adverts and select ‘education jobs’ for the job category.

The early years and childcare job vacancy service also remains available to support providers to advertise their early years and childcare jobs: Submit a vacancy – Information for childcare providers (devon.gov.uk)
