With the summer holidays fast approaching, we’re pleased to announce that bookings are now open for our action-packed Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme! 


Early years funding – summer amendment task guidance

The summer amendment task is now available with a deadline for completion of 23.59 on Sunday 1st September 2024. Please can we ask that you refer to the updates page on our website for guidance on how to complete the amendment task, as well as other useful information.


Wraparound childcare – briefing sessions for providers

Schools and private, voluntary and independent sector providers (including childminders and HAF providers) are invited to one of two briefing sessions, which will enable you to learn more about the wraparound programme here in Devon. Sessions are running on 10th July at 4pm and 15th July at 12pm.

Wraparound Childcare – Devon application process for schools and providers has gone ‘live’

The wraparound funding process has now been finalised and Devon is welcoming applications from schools and providers to start provision for September 2024.


Find Childcare website – teething problems!

We are aware of an issue with the Find Childcare website relating to addresses and are working with Capita to find a solution.


HAF funding for school transition projects this summer holiday

HAF funding to support free school meal children to attend a transition project in the summer holidays. Schools need to apply by Friday 12th July.


Guide to neurodiversity in the early years

Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families have produced a ‘guide to neurodiversity in the early years’ booklet for early years professionals working with young children aged five and under in an educational or community setting.


Ordinarily Available Inclusive Provision (OAIP) Framework

Devon County Council has been working closely with parents, children, young people and schools to develop a framework to promote consistent Ordinarily Available Inclusive Provision (OAIP) across all primary and secondary schools in Devon. Information sessions running for settings and schools on 10th July, 11th July, 16th July, 18th July. Book your place now.
