Prepare for Safer Sleep week (9-15 March)

Safer Sleep Week 2026 will run from 9 – 15 March. This is our national awareness campaign targeting anyone looking after a young baby. We raise awareness of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) and the simple advice that reduces the risk of it occurring.

How to be a Safer Sleep Week champion with The Lullaby Trust:

  1. Hold a Pyjama Day: Raise money to keep advice accessible to all by hosting a Pyjama Day in your local Early Years setting – everyone donates to come to nursery in their pyjamas! Sign up for your free access to our PJ Day hub packed with resources.
  2. Sign up for training: Our SIDS and Safer Sleep training for Early Years Professionals was created specifically to help nursery practitioners, childminders, foster carers and anyone responsible for placing babies to sleep feel confident in doing so.
  3. Create a safer sleep display: Download and print some of our key safer sleep resources or order hard copies from our shop to display in your community or workplace.
