Parental conflict – supporting information
The Christmas break can be a difficult time for all of us in different ways.
The relationship between parents, whether good or bad, has an impact on children. It doesn’t matter if they live together, or separately, a good relationship between parents will help children’s happiness, and also play a part in their future relationships with others.
Family life can be complicated, and sometimes relationships between parents do break down. If this happens, this can lead to what is known as ‘parental conflict’.
The Devon Safeguarding Childrens Partnership have some useful information to share with your families and staff teams including tools and resources. There is some funded ‘Reducing parental conflict’ – e-learning training for practitioners and support workers.
