Fun with food workshop for all early years and childcare / wraparound providers

All out of school wraparound childcare settings must provide food, especially in the breakfast clubs. We will be running a one-hour ‘Fun with Food’ workshop for all early years and childcare and out of school wraparound providers.

The session will cover healthy and fun food activities for children. This session will give ideas for fun hands-on food sessions and will also support children with sensory processing needs when it comes to food. Activities can be done on a low budget, with limited kitchen facilities and safely adapted to suit individuals with dietary requirements and intolerances.

There will be advice during the session from the DfE Early Adopters Breakfast Support Worker and from the Devon Public Health team to talk about food sufficiency and the School food standards practical guide.

• Tuesday 20th May at 7pm – 8 pm – Microsoft Teams

We have chosen an evening time to allow as many people to attend as possible. If there is a demand we may be able to repeat it for a day time session.
