More free breakfast clubs in Devon than in any other area in the country!
Delivering on promises made to working parents in the government’s manifesto, all primary aged children in early adopter schools will be able to access a free breakfast and at least 30 minutes of free childcare, every day, helping to support parents getting into work by dropping their children off half an hour earlier.

These Free Breakfast Clubs are set to open on the first day of the summer term 2025.
Devon tops the list with 25 schools in the programme, followed by England’s largest local authority, Birmingham, with 24: First 750 schools named for free breakfast clubs in England – BBC News
Guidance is in place Breakfast clubs early adopter guidance for schools and trusts in England – GOV.UK, new breakfast clubs should fit with the wider wraparound offer in a school. For example, if a school or PVI currently delivers before school childcare for a school from 8am until school starts at 9am, this should continue’. We expect to see different models across the county and our service will be at hand to support schools and providers with these new developments.
