Proposed funding rates for 2024/25
Our funding rate proposals have been presented to the Schools Finance Group (SFG). Final budgets for 2024/25 will go through the normal budget process and we will confirm when we have final approval.
However, from 1st April 2024, we propose the following:
- 3- & 4-year-old funding: £5.22 (£5.12 base rate plus Universal supplements – 6p for SEND SEND and 4p for Deprivation). This is a 14% increase on April 2023 funding.
- 2-year-old funding: £7.10 (£7.00 base rate plus Universal supplements – 6p for SEND and 4p for Deprivation). Whilst this is a 6p reduction of current funding rates, it is a 33% increase on April 2023 funding.
From 1st September 2024, we propose the following:
- Under 2’s funding (from 9 months): £9.60 per hour (£9.50 base rate plus Universal supplements – 6p for SEND and 4p for Deprivation).
The funding for Early Years Pupil Premium and Disability Access funding is paid in full to providers. Rates are confirmed as:
- Early Years Pupil Premium funding: 68p per hour for all eligible funded children (universal funding only for 3- & 4-year-olds).
- Disability Access funding: £910 per annum (pro rata for school starters age 4 years) for eligible funded children in receipt of Disability Living Allowance.
From 1st April 2024, Early Years Pupil Premium and Disability Access Funding will be available for all eligible children under 5 and in receipt of one of the Early Years funding entitlements.
