Professionals working with families at an Early Help Level can receive advice and guidance from Locality Officers in their area, about services which can support children and their families to lead a healthy and happy life.

Information and guidance from the DfE on supporting babies and children’s mental health. Places available on the 3 hour Mental Health First Aid Awareness training running in Feb and March next year.

Children in Devon and their families will see a new model of support services, in line with national Government guidance.

The Stronger Practice Hub programme was launched in November 2022, as part of the DfE Early Years Education COVID-19 Recovery Package.  The programme aims to support providers to address the impact of the pandemic on young children, by sharing effective practice and building lasting local networks.

We understand that there have been a few issues with getting through to the MASH Consultation Line for Professionals. MASH is aware of this issue and will be updating the system with a queue message.

Our next update sessions around the Provider Self-Update & Find Childcare (running on 8th and 11th December) will now include a software demonstration from Polylino – a useful resource for settings that have children with English as an additional language.

Learn Devon and Devon Early Years and Childcare Service are working together to offer NCFE CACHE Level 2 Diploma for Early Years Practitioners (EYP). This will be a full and relevant DfE approved qualification. Please complete an expression of interest form by 11 December so that we can gauge interest.
