Learn Devon and Devon Early Years and Childcare Service are working together to offer NCFE CACHE Level 2 Diploma for Early Years Practitioners (EYP). This will be a full and relevant DfE approved qualification. The course will start in January 2024 with plans to run more courses in the future.

The Early Years Funding Team are running regular update sessions around the New Entitlements. Sessions running in Jan / Feb include: ‘EYFS Consultation’, and ‘Updates on software, grants, funding rates for Early Years Entitlements’.

From the 4th January 2024, two revised frameworks will replace the current Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). 

Early Years and Childcare Service hope to launch the Provider Self Update and new Information Directory in early January 2024. We will let you know once the system has gone live.

The Stronger Practice Hub (SPH) programme was launched in November 2022, as part of the Department for Education’s Early Years Education COVID-19 Recovery Package. The SPH for the South West will be delivery training on Emotional Regulation in the new year.
