£35,000 has already been approved for this project at Northlew & Ashbury Primary School.

The Tender has recently been returned at £39,000 and detailed examination has identified significantly higher costs for demolition and reinforcement than was anticipated. Comparison with recent similar works and discussions with Suppliers identifies escalating costs, especially over recent months.

We are seeking approval for an additional £4,000 that will be funded from the Capital Maintenance Contingency Fund.
