Decision to award the Authority’s Textile Waste Recycling Contract to the organisation detailed in section 2 below.
The Authority received two compliant tenders in response to its invitation to tender for this contract. One of the tenderers later retracted their tender submission and therefore the decision to award the contract to the company below is required to be made by the Cabinet Member for the service as part of the Authority’s single tender return award procedures.
To award a contract to the below organisation for the provision of the above service.
Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd, 66-78 Denington Road, Denington Industrial Estate, Wellingborough, Northamptonshire,
Company Registration Number and legal form: 02605817 – Limited Company.
The service will commence on 1st April 2020 and expires on 31st March 2023 with option to extend the contract by periods totaling a maximum of 2 further years.
An Open tendering procedure was followed in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
In response to the Authority’s invitation to tender, two compliant tenders were received. However, one of the bidders later decided to retract their tender. The paper recommending the award of the contract to the company in section 2 was submitted to the Cabinet Member for Infrastructure, Development and Waste for her approval which was granted on 06.02.2020
