How many children have been placed transracially for adoption in Devon County Council between 1st January 2019 – 1st January 2020.
By transracial I mean the placement for adoption when both of the adoptive parents are of white British or European origin with an ethnically different child, i.e. of black, Asian or of mixed origin (white and black Caribbean, white and black African and white and Asian).
We can confirm that we do hold this information but disclosure of the information may identify both the children and the parents. This public disclosure of their information would be a breach of the first data protection principle and this information is therefore exempt from disclosure pursuant to s.40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
