Transport services commissioning and contracts

1. Do you commission / contract for Professional Transport Services / Transport Consultancy support?

Yes, Devon County Council (DCC) currently have professional services contracts in place with two suppliers. One contract is with our current private sector partner and another contract is with our former partner for residual services only.

2. How many frameworks do you operate for professional transport services / transport consultancy support?

We do not currently have any framework arrangements in place. Our current arrangements are based upon in-house delivery with support from our private sector partner.

3. What is the term length / duration of any such frameworks?

DCC’s professional services contract with our current private sector partner has an end date of 31 March 2025, although there are extension options of 3+2 years available to DCC.

4. What is the termination date of any such frameworks?

Please see the response to question 3 above.

5. How many organisations currently provide services to you via any such framework?

As per the response above, DCC does not currently have any framework arrangements in place.

6. Which organisations (by name) currently provide these services to you via any such framework?

Our current Transportation and Engineering Professional Services contract is with WSP UK Ltd. and we also have a similar contract with Jacobs UK Ltd. for residual work only.

7. When will you be going to market to compete a renewal of current frameworks or for future frameworks?

It will mainly depend upon whether we choose to extend our contract with WSP UK Ltd. and to a lesser extent upon the procurement process that is adopted.
