Please provide the traffic signal sequence and timings and any diurnal variance for the traffic lights at the junction of Barrack Road and Topsham Road, Exeter.
The timing sequence of the traffic and variance in timings are;
The inter green timings (road green to apposing road Green) are fixed at this junction and set to a minimum of 5 seconds. Due to the pedestrian crossing in this area, the inter greens are extended by a few seconds but are never shorter than 5 seconds. To be clear the inter green timing is from a Green going off to a Green coming on.
The road green times are variable, and unpredictable at any time of day, due to volume and type of traffic. The minimum green times are also fixed although the maximum green times could be longer than shown below under some conditions.
A. Topsham Road outbound has a green time ranging from 7 to 50 seconds
B. Topsham Road inbound has a green time ranging from 7 to 50 seconds
C. Topsham Road inbound with right turn green arrow has a green time ranging from 7 to 35 seconds
D. Barrack Road right turn has a green time ranging from 7 to 14 seconds
E. Barrack Road left turn has a green time ranging from 7 to 35 seconds
