Torrington Farmers’ Hunt – Boxing Day Road Closure and Street Collection Licence

Has the Torridge Safety Advisory Group been notified of the Torrington Farmers Hunt meet event in the centre of Great Torrington on Boxing Day 2019?

We do not hold this information.  The Torridge Safety Advisory Group is the responsibility of Torridge District Council – please contact them directly using the information on the link provided.

However, the Traffic Management Plan does state that a first draft risk assessment has been submitted to the Community Safety Officer at Torridge District Council, and that a revision is in progress.

Have the Torrington Farmers Hunt applied for a street collection licence for their meet event on Boxing Day? If they have, can you please confirm which charity the application was for.

Devon County Council is not responsible for Street Collection Licences and therefore does not hold the information requested.  This is a function provided by District and Unitary councils in Devon.

Can you please confirm whether permission has been requested by Torrington Farmers Hunt, or anyone else, to temporarily close the Great Torrington town centre roads on Boxing Day 2019?
