1.How many meetings, both within (professionals) the council and outside of council offices (for training and/work purposes) did social workers attend in total from January 1st 2010 to December 3rd 2021?
We do not hold a central record of how many meetings have been attended by the employed social workers during this almost 12 year period. Social workers have commenced and ended their employment during this lengthy time period and their own work diaries will therefore now no longer be held.
A review of each work diary of every social worker who is currently employed by Devon County Council would take longer than the appropriate time limit of 18 hours and we are therefore not obliged to provide this information pursuant to s.12 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000. In any event, as explained above, this would not provide a full response to the question which has been posed due to the very lengthy time period set out in the question.
2.How many days were spent off sick and on holiday or other leave by all social workers between January 1 2010 and December 3rd 2021?
Below are the absence days lost for the requested years for children’s social workers. These figures do not include annual leave as they are not available but they do include maternity, paid and unpaid leave and jury service.
