4) What steps are being taken to ensure your authority is able to report final destinations of recycling more accurately in future?

Devon County Council is only able to respond in relation to its Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC) operations.

General recycling collections ) are carried out by district, city and unitary authorities (as the Waste Collection Authorities) and we would recommend that you contact them for the majority of your enquiries.   Contact details can be found on our website at: Neighbouring authorities

For the HWRC operations, Devon County Council does not hold information on the final destinations of dry recyclable materials. Records are kept of where any waste material is taken/delivered to (i.e. the next waste holder). This information is available to the public on the Waste Dataflow website at: Waste data flow
