Is implementing a 20mph speed limit along the A3052 in Newton Poppleford dependent on a pilot being carried out Newton Abbot (a town which bears no resemblance to Newton Poppleford)?
The approach to implementing any new 20mph schemes was most recently discussed at Council on the 07th October. Which can be viewed from Devon County Council’s Democracy webpage (Item 47 of the Printed minutes).
If so, why isn’t the successful pilot which implemented 20mph along the A3052 in Sidford being used to support a 20mph speed limit along the A3052 in Newton Poppleford (Sidford being a village closely resembling Newton Poppleford)?

I heard a rumour that Devon County Council recently voted to delay the implementation of 20mph speed limits in Devon.
